This week’s bulletin will be published here as it becomes available

Worship is the activity which sets the Christian community apart from secular organizations. New St James gathers for worship on Sunday of each week at 10:30 a.m. From Canada Day until Labour day, our worship service begins at 10:00 a.m. Church school for ages 3 to 12 and nursery care are provided. Watch for the teen class coming soon! Special services are held to mark special times of the year such as Advent, Lent and Easter.

In current church language, our services are traditional. That means our music is led by our Casavant organ and/or our grand piano, though we also make use of the variety of musical gifts of our choir and congregation. We observe the seasons of the Christian year, and Scripture texts are generally taken from the Revised Common Lectionary, which gives shape and intentionality to our worship.

In 2020, we will celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper on:

  • 1st Sunday in Lent – March 1
  • Maundy Thursday – April 9
  • Day of Pentecost – May 31
  • World Communion – October 4
  • 1st Sunday of Advent – November 29
  • Christmas Eve – 6:30 p.m. Family Service and 9:30 p.m. Communion

For more dates and times please consult the New St. James calendar on our Dates Page.
