Opportunities for Learning
There are many opportunities for learning and growth in faith at New St. James for all ages in various groups that meet throughout the week.
Please feel free to find out more about each group by getting in touch with the contact people named.
Small group Bible study is a vital part of our growth in faith. A group meets on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A lectionary study group meets on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Contact person for the Monday group: Mike Ruggi. Contact person for the lectionary study: Marg McGugan.
Each week, our Sunday School offers a faithful, meaningful program for children and youth. We meet as a group in our Lower Hall at 10:20 a.m. for worship and games together before dividing into our age appropriate classes. We join our whole church family in the sanctuary at around 11:15 a.m., to close out time together in prayer, praise and commissioning. Nursery care is provided for infant children to age two.
The Teen Class meets weekly on Sunday morning. We also enjoy social events and are able and eager workers for the Shrove Tuesday dinners, congregational barbecues and other outreach programs.
Vacation Bible Camp
Vacation Bible Camp is offered yearly during the March Break. We are always looking for volunteers for this program as well as participants. Contact person: Deb Noble-Van Hees.
